I’ve been doing some checking on what kind of new mattress to get, since the one I’ve had (for only 6 years - for 2 of those years the mattress was in storage) is kaput.
I looked at all sorts of reviews, talked to people, etc, and came down to a few finalists to go try in the store. One of the finalists was the Serta Perfect Sleeper. Till I looked last night at the label on my own crappy mattress. It’s a Serta Perfect Sleeper. I don’t know, maybe I just got a lemon. Or maybe the movers did something hellish to it in storage. I was so surprised that a mattress with such good reviews is so…well….not good.
We put a board between the boxspring and the mattress to stop the sagging about 6 months ago, but we can’t take it anymore, gotta get a new one. Both my husband & I are uncomfortable in the bed, and sore in the morning. You’re just not supposed to feel like that in your 30’s, are you?
I did think it was a great mattress the first year or so, thought it was quite firm & supportive. But now in retrospect, I realize I had gone from a waterbed to the Serta. I think ANY mattress would feel firm after a waterbed!
