My wife had been experiencing some back issues and our innerspring mattress was probably 10 years old so we started looking. We were intrigued by the Tempurpedic memory foam mattress and the Select Comfort Sleep Number beds so we decided to try them out. Fortunately we have stores in our area that we could visit to perform our tests.
We tried the Tempupedic mattresses and liked them. We did not receive the best customer service during our visit and that may have had a bearing on our final decision. We then went to the Select Comfort store and were very happy with the overall experience. The products speak for themselves. We were ultimately sold on the flexibility of the Sleep Number beds as there are 20 firmness settings available. The beds were on sale and we were offered 12 months same-as-cash.
We placed our order on Saturday and the bed and accessories arrive on Wednesday. We had it set up in two hours. We used the queen-sized bed frame from our previous mattress and it fit great. The bed went together as described with no surprises. We also bought 2 Select Comfort memory foam pillows that facilitate both side and back sleepers with their shape.
After our first night sleep we were amazed at how rested we were. Granted, we probably needed a new mattress, but there is no denying that these beds sleep wonderful. The quality of the materials is excellent and the follow-up customer service was super. I am a sleep number 55 and my wife is a 45.
