We bought an Edinburgh Mattress which seems to be another name for an Exeter 5 years ago. For the first few years it was fine. However over time it slumped and softened more and more. We paid close to $2,000. Stearns and Foster has a warranty but it requires that they measure the mattress slump to be more than 2 inches. What happens is perhaps it soften as well as slumps. We could wait another year or two for the mattress to get bad enough but the back surgery would cost more than the cost of a new mattress, so with some trepidation we will donate the mattress, hoping that we are doing someone more of a favor than harm.
We have been rotating and flipping the mattress as per the instructions. After rotation the bed is better, but at this point it only lasts a few days.
Every morning I would wake hurting more than I did before I supposedly got a good night sleep. Inserting a pillow under the bed to push it up where it sleeps helps, but it seems stupid to have to put support under a top of the line bed to repair it.
I found I was enjoying hotel stays because in a hotel room I would wake refreshed after a nights sleep but not at home on this bed.
