After a back injury my insurance company gave me the money to purchase a new bed. After researching beds I decided on the Tempur-Pedic Swedish mattress. After the initial breaking in period I was very happy with the mattress. After approximately a year I started experiencing severe pain in my back and neck at night and especially in the mornings. I decided to turn the bed around and after adjusting to the new part of the mattress, I was happy again. This joy lasted approximately another year when again my back pain increased… increasingly. I contacted Tempur-Pedic and the Healthy Back store and found out you needed to put the mattress on the floor and show that the curve was more than a Quarters height. This I did, and sent pictures along with pictures showing a fissure had formed on one side of the mattress. After explaining my paperwork was at my attorney’s office and they would contact them if needed, the Tempur-Pedic company decided to replace my King Size mattress. It is now two years later and I’ve used up all areas of this new bed and am looking for a new mattress….. not a Tempur-Pedic. When this mattress works well, it’s wonderful…unfortunately it seems to break down and if you have any sort of back condition, watch out !!! BTW, I am under 170 pounds, so I don’t think weight is an issue.
