About one and a half years ago, my husband and I decided that it was time for a new mattress. Unfortunately, this was before I knew about epinions, so we relied on the trusting words of our friends on their opinions of a good mattress. A lot of them have recommended the Serta Perfect Sleeper. My sister stated that she just got one, and it was the best night sleep ever. She and her husband no longer have back pain. That said,we took a trip to the local mattress shop.
The place that we were going to only sold Serta and Stearns and Foster mattresses. In my opinion, I thought Stearns and Foster was made of little quality for the high price tag that came with it. We went straight to the Serta mattresses. The girl selling the mattresses also recommended the Serta Perfect Sleeper. We tried it out, and thought it was very comfortable. That day it was delivered, and I really regret that day.
For the first 6 months, we thought it was the best mattress we have ever slept on. We had great back support, we fell asleep faster, and we woke up feeling refreshed and new. But after 6 months, we noticed a lot of sagging toward the middle of the mattress. And we are certainly not the heaviest couple, either. With that, there was so much creaking and squeaking every time we moved, and we could feel the springs come out of the mattress! We had the worst sleep ever after that! Our old mattress almost seemed better. The sales lady told us that Serta came with a 10 year warranty. Oh, come on! It is impossible to even contact Serta, and once you do they never give you what you want. Well, we were not planning on spending another 900 dollars for a good mattress, so we just bought a 90 dollar feather bed to put on top of our bed. It has given us the best sleep we have ever known in years.
