We purchased our Sealy Crown Jewel Pisano King Set in February and it has been one of the best investments we have made. Our first mattress we had (17 years ago) was a Serta and it outlived its time. When both hubby and I started rolling in the middle of our king size bed and neither one of us could get a good night sleep, we realized it was time to search for another mattress.
We went from store to store testing out mattress upon mattress. The first thing I paid attention to were how the corners and sides on some mattress were not made well. This made me feel that I could easily roll off and made me nervous. The Crown Jewel is further off the ground than what we had been used to; however, the Crown Jewel had the reinforced sides and corners that I liked. Now, here was the difficult decision. I love a soft mattress and hubby loves a firm one. Well, this mattress actually pleased both of us. The mattress has a dual support system, (Cradling and PostureTech) which not only provides us with a firm support, but a cradling support. The cradling support, bends, flexes and adjusts to your body. The “PostureTech” support keeps your body aligned while you sleep. I do like the plush pillow top, which gives me the feel that I have some softness to the mattress.
Overall, I have never had a better night’s sleep. This mattress was expensive for us, but after all as I learned, most people spend one-third of their lives sleeping and I know for a fact, that if I don’t get a good night’s sleep, I’m just miserable in the morning.
The only downside to this mattress is that it takes the extra deep pocket sheets and they are expensive. The other feeling that I have is that because of the height of the mattress, it may be difficult to get into bed the older I get, but I will have enjoyed the many wonderful nights of sleep and won’t worry about that bridge till I cross it. The mattress is solid and therefore very heavy. So to turn the mattress it does take a couple of strong arms. Oh and because of its solidness, there are absolutely no squeaks. Another benefit to purchasing this mattress is that it has a 10-year warranty.
