I have had a 7000 for three nights now. The first night I set it at 40 and woke up with it at 60. Very strange. The second night there did not appear to be a change. The third night I went to sleep at 35 and woke up at 50. Could the electric blanket we use have something to do with it? The salesman had told us that there would be no problems with an electric blanket and the User’s manual makes no mention of problems with an electric blanket. However, Customer Service told me that heated mattress pads and electric blankets can cause the air to expand and will change the firmness setting. The representative was very unconcerned about the issue. So, what’s the point of having a mattress that is adjustable to your own select comfort level if level will change during the nigh? I’m very disappointed that this was never mentioned.
I bought the mattress based on the recommendation of several people that I know who own them. I know one of them uses a down comforter. I don’t know what kind of blankets the others use.
So, if you live in a temperate area with little temperature variation it will be a more effective system. Otherwise be forewarned.
