I RECENTLY BOUGHT A STEARNS & FOSTER BECAUSE IT WAS TIME FOR A NEW ONE. OUR OLD ONE LASTED OVER 20 YEARS. ONCE IT WAS DELIVERED 3 DAYS LATTER IT WAS SAGGING ON MY SIDE AND MY WIFES, AND IT WAS TERRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE. I ASKED THE DEALER IF A PILLOW TOP WOULD SAG AND HE SAID NO. SHE ONLY WEIGHS 110 LBS. AND I’M 180 LBS, NOT BIG PEOPLE. COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER AND COME TO FIND OUT STEARNS AND FOSTER IS NOTHING MORE THAN A HYPED UP SEALY. SEALY BOUGHT STEARNS & FOSTER ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO AND THEY ARE MADE IN THE SAME PLANT. SEALY DID AWAY WITH THE 8 WAY HAND TIED BOX SPRINGS STEARNS & FOSTER USED TO USE. I WAS TOLD THEY DID AWAY WITH THE QUILTED COTTON THEY USED IN THE UPHOLSTERY AS WELL. WHEN I ASKED THE SALESMAN WHY ALL THE CHANGES HE SAID WHY DO YOU THINK ? COST. IT WAS TO EXPENSIVE TO MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USED TO. I RETURNED MY MATTRESS AND BOUGHT A SIMMONS BEAUTYREST PILLOW TOP AND IT IS MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE AND NO SAGGING. STEARNS AND FOSTER IS JUST A NAME SEALY IS RIDDING THE COAT TAILS OF….DON’T BE FOOLED FOLKS, IT’S NOT YOUR DADDYS STEARNS & FOSTER !!!!
