A $2,000 mistake

Cons: uncomfortable, sags, causes back pain
After purchasing the Hotel Collection of the Sterns and Foster mattress, my husband and I are very upset. Our mattress is only 5 months old, yet we have a 1 1/4 inch sag on one side. My husband only weighs 155 lbs, and he is having back pain now due to this sag on his side. An inspector has measured the sag, and informs us we are under warranty, but we have to have a 1 1/2″ sag before we can get replacement. So more pain until be reach the magic number. This is the worst purchase we have ever made in 38 years of marriage. I hope Sterns and Foster will do the right thing and replace mattress, but from what I have read in other reviews, I am skeptical.

Paying almost $2000.00 for a Stearn’s & Foster extra firm mattress it started sagging after one week’s use - only after threatening to sue the dealer’s mother, who owned the business, did he offer any remedy - said wasn’t firmest they made as salesgirl had indicated - he replaced it with a new model Stearn’s & Foster that cost a little more but was the absolute hardest ever made - after a week this one also started to sag and now is no where near firm but feels like a pillow top mattress - it has developed a huge hill in the middle - you roll off if trying to sleep in any position except at the far sides - understand was a class action against company - appreciate hearing from anyone knowing who to contact on this - will also help to know of similar complaints in a local small claims suit I intend on filing if all else fails

Don’t buy it! We’ve only had two mattresses in the last 30 years and they were Sealy. Since Stearns and Foster is the “cadillac” of Sealy, that’s what we purchased.
Three weeks of decent sleep and then downhill from there.
significant body impressions after a couple of weeks and sides were breaking down as well. We paid $1300 for a cal-king set. Eventually we kept the box springs, gave the mattress away for nothing and got an Eclipse mattress… the company has been in business for 100 years and we are much happier.

I purchased for $3000. Was recommended as the best by store employee. Worst bed ever. I wanted firm bed to last 10,20 years, sags, after 1 year worst mattress ever slept on. I beleive it is built for 6 months to 9 months tops. Very upset about the money. Very upset about the bed looks like a giant wave in middle of bed. I rate this worse than my college mattress.
