It is said that we all spend nearly one third of our lives lying on mattresses. Therefore it would make sense to invest in a mattress that we are comfortable on and helps us wake up relaxed. For us, that is the Simmons BackCare® Mattress.

TRYING THIS AND TRYING THAT

When I was young and lived at my parents house, I slept on the bed they bought me. I had no idea what type of mattress it was other than it took full size sheets and that it was turned every six months. And really, that was more than I cared to know.

When I lived in the dorm, they provided the beds and this time it took twin sheets and I couldn’t have been bothered to turn it!

When I finally got to buy my own bed, I went for a waterbed. It was fine but it was NOT as comfortable as I thought it would be when I got pregnant. So after 5 years, the waterbed was out and I bought my first mattress. It was a Simmons king size and like the good little girl I am, it was turned every six months.

Well years and years later, it was time to replace it and after a ton of research and visits to store after store, we choose Simmons BackCare® Mattress. That was just over a year ago, and we are still VERY happy with our purchase.

SUPPORT, SUPPORT, SUPPORT

On a mattress, support is how well your weight is distributed when you are laying on it. So, it makes sense that the quality of your sleep depends on proper support. That is the concept behind the Simmons BackCare® Mattress.

Instead of a mattress design where the center third is the firmest (like a standard mattress) the Simmons BackCare® is designed to support the FIVE ZONES of your body’s anatomy ~

The extra support under the lower back and thigh areas, helps to ensure the spine, and other bones, are in the proper position (and supported) throughout the night.

I am not 100% sure how this all works but I can tell you it feels wonderful to sleep on! My husband weighs about 80 pounds more than I do and is 6 inches taller so, if there isn’t a lot of support in the mattress, I feel EVERY bit of tossing and turning he does throughout the night! With this new Simmons BackCare® Mattress I NEVER feel him moving at all! This really is amazing as I am a VERY light sleeper and now, he can even get in and out of the bed without waking me!

TO FLIP OR NOT TO FLIP, NO LONGER A QUESTION

This is one of my favorite little features ~ I NEVER have to flip the mattress! How great is that? No more killing my back trying to flip a king size mattress every six months, let alone trying to remember when and which way to flip!

The top of the mattress is a gradient foam pillowtop. The whole thing is quilted and filled with different densities of foam over the 5 zone areas to conform with the BackCare® mattress. It gives a nice, soft feeling when laying on it.

While the cost of a Simmons BackCare® Mattress

is high, it is important to remember how much better our whole day is when we wake up from restful sleep.

The mattress is a bit firmer than the one we had before. The pillowtop is soft and helps make it a very comfortable mattress to sleep on.

While I never felt we were having a bad night’s sleep before, I am amazed at the difference since we have been sleeping on the Simmons BackCare® Mattress. My husband plays racquetball three times a week and he would sometimes wake up with lower back pain after playing ~ this has completely stopped! And I no longer wake up every time he tosses and/or turns.

The bottom line is the Simmons BackCare® Mattress has helped us have a more restful sleep ~ night, after night, after night!

I have noticed a few sales throughout the year and we were able to get our mattress on sale. As with ANY purchase ~ I would suggest you check both online sites and B&M stores to make sure you get the best deal!
