Got this mattress as a warranty exchange for a latex bed we purchased at Boscov’s dept. store. Started out with a Eurotex Latex mattress from them, after a year, it developed bad sagging problems. They sent out an estimator who approved our claim, and they gave us a credit to use towards purchase of a new mattress. We went with the top of the line Simmons Beauty Rest that they carried, which cost us a few hundred more out of pocket, but I was hoping this would hold us for a while. Big mistake. The Simmon’s didnt last as long as the latex, and developed sagging problems as well, in less than a year. It is almost a year and a half old now, and we are in the process of trying to get this one replaced. I think the problem is the pillow top, as other folks have mentioned. It seems to have broken down, and left deep depressions in the bed, which makes it uncomfortable. I’ve been waking up with horrible back aches in the morning lately.
It is to the point that If Boscov’s doesnt replace this one, I’m going to have to spend another small fortune to try something else. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good mattress that will last at least 5 years before it needs replacing? I’m tempted to try a memory foam mattress this time, but I dont want to spend the money for a tempurpedic, and aslo dont want to by something too cheap that will sag in less than a year. Any help would be appreciated.
