I’ve decided to make this short as possible. The first time I reinstalled the bed, the zipper broke which connects the pillow top to the underside of the bed.
When I finally got air flowing again, I was sweating like rainfall and worn out. Also, I should mention that my son and I could not make the foundation covering that goes over the plastic foundation pieces to fit.
I called Sleep Number and received a new pillow top and foundation cover. This time I waited until a friend helped me. We managed to get everything hooked up. But now the foot of the mattress bulges higher than the head. Maybe we placed the air bladders under the foam pad that runs along the bottom of the mattress. I’d have to take it apart again to find out.
We’ve had this mattress since January. We awake every morning with aches and pains.
Bottom line, so far my wife and I both agree this bed costs much more than all the hassle it is worth. If you want customer service to come and look at it, they want a 149.95 charge.
if you are older and not too strong, I certainly do not recommend trying to assemble or reassemble this bed alone.
