Overall, we’re very happy with the bed. We bought this bed because our old mattress was a hand-me-down from my parents and had seen WAY better days. My husband has back and hip problems, and was a restless sleeper, and I was a toss and turner, which was constantly waking him up. My mom got one, and loved it, so we looked into it.
We did the in-store demonstration and were immediately impressed with what felt to us, like a very different feel for a bed.
I love that each side of the bed is controlled independently, my sleep number is a 55, my husbands is an 85. Also, the lack of springs is a major plus. Traditional spring mattresses always felt like the springs were digging into me, even with pillow tops and mattress pads.
We paid the $150 bucks for delivery and installation…and am I ever glad we did. The chore of getting my old mattress down my narrow stairway alone was worth $150. It seemed like something that I could have done myself if I carefully read the instructions, but for $150, it was worth having someone else do it. They also attached my head board and foot-board to the bed’s foundation, which was great.
I will say that the first few nights were a little uncomfortable, just trying to adjust and find the right sleep number, and getting used to the “air mattress” feel, took some time. After about 3 or 4 days though, we totally LOVE it. I would definately recommend it.
