We purchased a SC 5000 after returning the SC7000. The 7000 was just plain HOT. It is comfortable except for the roasting heat. The 5000 was supposed to be much cooler and not a problem, said customer service. Well, the home delivery people who brought the 5000 and took back the 7000 told us that they get many returns of the 7000 for that same problem. Back to the 5000. It isn’t much cooler than the 7000 and it is much less comfortable. I can almost say that the 5000 is uncomfortable. I called at least 3 times to get some answers on how to solve the heat problem. I got a lame attempt by the customer service reps. He told me to use 100% cotton sheets, open weave blanket, a mattress pad and to dress cooler. Well, I tried all of that and it doesn’t help. Any part of you that is contacting the mattress gets very hot. They even have sleep solution kits for people who are having problems slipping between the air chamber and the sidewalls of foam (it’s just more foam). I am very unhappy with this product. For the amount of money we paid, I feel that we should be dancing and happy instead of dreading to go to bed each night.
