Cons: Worst bed to sleep on when its upside down. Warm has a smell
Someone in QA at the Sealy factory should be fired for making this common mistake. The mattress is installed upside down. I received mine and thought I was being scammed. It was as hard as a rock. Nothing like the showroom floor model. Then I remembered reading a post about someone recieving theirs upsidedown. I then pulled the outer cover off and felt the top. It would not do that hand impression you see in the advertisements. I reached down on the bottom and O M G there was that soft wonderful feeling I was looking for. Turn it over, laid in it, and smiled all night long.
I thought back on how sad for those who are claiming how hard this bed is and wondered if there’s was upside down also. PLEASE check! I’m glad I did. It is a wonderful bed if it’s install from the factory properly.
Sealy Management, wake up! And do some spot checking because you’re losing clients left and right if this keeps up.

I am a side sleeper. I went from not even being able to crawl out of a spring mattress due to excruciating lower back pain, to no pain - even when I slept on my back! This mattress feels like heaven. I would recommend this mattress to a friend or family member, most definitely. It is much cheaper than a Tempur-pedic, but it feels the same. I stayed in the store for an hour going back and forth between the two brands. It is a good bed for any sleep position. It also comes with longer warranty than I expected.
Because it’s so much cheaper, it does not come with two pillows like a Tempur-pedic. I did have to shell out an extra $160 plus tax for the pillows. It is also very heavy! Luckily it does not need to be flipped, ever. If you happen to get a new bed frame, call about five of your burliest friends.
Just bought the 9″ series

We just purchased our mattress at Mattress Discounters in Hampton, VA. The salesman was very nice and helped us with the deal. We almost bought the TempurPedic, but we liked this for the “similar” feel and much lower price. Don’t believe the prices when you see them. The salesmen talk about MAP pricing - Minimum Advertised Pricing. If you are good and like to bargain, try asking for a lower price. Our salesman did give us a lower price since it was almost closing time and he hadn’t yet sold anything. We just received the bed an hour ago. Delivery guys set it up and did a good job. I am letting it get used to the house temperature and hope to have a good night’s sleep tonight! We purchased this bed after hours of research and talking with different doctors. I am active duty and my wife has the back pain. This is for her. Wish us luck!
True Form Sealy Posturpedic
Positive There is nothing that we like about this product.
Cons: Expensive. It is hard and feels like sleeping on concrete. It is temperature sensitive.
We needed a new mattress and just recently purchased a Sealy Posturpedic True Form mattress, and it is not what we expected. It is the worst mattress we ever purchased plus it was expensive ($1999). It did not provide the soft and comfortable feeling that we felt in the store and what we were expecting to provide and guarantee a good night sleep as the mattress are advertised. The mattress is hard and feels like you are sleeping on concrete. After four nights sleeping on this mattress I have a sore back. When purchasing this type of mattress, beware that it is sensitive to temperature. The colder the air the more firm (hard) it is and softens up when warmer but to us it still was not comfortable. Unfortunately, where we bought it (Sheely’s in Ohio)we cannot exchange it for another type of mattress.
Do It!
Positive Great comfort, accommodates each of our likes, very little bed movement, an individualized sleep.
Cons: Only one - the foam admits a slight heat and odor.
After being burned multiple times with mattress purchases that proved nightmarish, we splurged wearily on this mattress. Good move - glad we did! Worth the money, and not even the most expensive out there, this pleases my desire for a firmer mattress and my partner’s desire for something softer (as it accommodates your individual body form, it ends up satisfying us both). We both have never slept better or more soundly. Bought a set of foam pillows that also are fantastic (buy the higher end ones - they are better and worth the added splurge). The bed sets solid, and you on it, so your bed-mate’s movements are not felt. The 11″ is pretty firm (which is what we have), so I would think you would not want the 9″ unless you really desire a very firm mattress.
It’s a Pool Table Disguised as a Mattress
Positive Back sleepers will enjoy this mattress the best.
Cons: Terribly uncomfortable. Very hard. Not sleeper friendly at all. I definitely would not recommend.
Unless you love a very, very, very firm mattress, don’t buy this mattress. We have found it to be very uncomfortable. It is killing my wife’s back, and I haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep since we purchased it. But, there is one benefit. It would make a great pool table.
Best Mattress I’ve Had Yet
Positive Wonderful, comfortable support without pressure points gives deepest sleep ever.
Cons: Takes several minutes to get used to initial sensation of sinking and motion.
I was hesitant over purchasing this mattress due to its price, but it has proven worth every cent. I’ve had conventional orthopedic mattresses, pillow tops, even a custom Duxiana mattress. This one is almost magical in how it gently supports every inch with just the right amount of give. The closest thing to the luxuriant comfortable feeling of this mattress is soaking in a warm tub.
It took a just one night to get spoiled. Now, when I’m on a conventional mattress, all the pressure points and uneven support of a spring mattress is badly noticed. I’m sorry I waited so long before getting a memory foam mattress. I chose this particular one because it had the right balance of firmness and ability to conform to my body. If just feels perfectly, organically supporting - not at all like being on an inanimate object. It reshapes to gently support.
Not one white of buyer’s regret other than wishing it was less expensive so I could have decided to get one earlier.
Great Bed for Couples!
Positive Great for couples. High quality. Satisfies both plush and firm preferences.
Cons: Can be a bit pricey, but a smart shopper can get a good deal.
When mattress shopping, I discovered that my husband and I have very different tastes in bedding. I wanted a plush mattress (had my eye on the Simmons Beautyrest Black model) but he wanted something more firm. The Sealy True Form bed was the ideal bed for both of us. We tried all of the Tempurpedic branded beds as well, and the Sealy definitely provided more comfort. It’s not nearly as plush as a pillowtop non memory foam bed, but I have to say it’s much more comfortable. Don’t forget a waterproof mattress cover if you purchase this product…you will need it for the warranty (if the bed stains, warranty is not covered). I would definitely recommend this bed for couples…and definitely make sure to try this one if you’re looking for a Tempurpedic.
