We purchased a Sealy Posturepedic Hargrave Model from The Bedding Experts in Chicago on January 25, 2006 for a total price of $1362.48. After less than two years it has deep depressions where we sleep. Neither my husband nor I are heavy people. It has what I call a shallow pillow top. I contacted the store and they had me call their Warranty Manger for this area. The Manager said that I would have to make a trip out to the suburbs to sign papers and pay them $90 to come out and inspect the mattress. Additionally he stated that they would replace it only if the depression is over 1 1/2 inches. I measured the depressions myself and they are not deeper than 1 1/2″! This may not seem like much but it is very uncomfortable and both my husband and I are having back problems. Apparently the warranty which I tossed out over a year ago states that any depression over 1 1/2 inches is not covered. Now my husband and I are forced to buy a new mattress! I am a senior citizen and have had several mattresses over the years and never experienced this! Buyer beware do not buy a pillow top mattress with this warranty exclusion! I would never buy this brand again!

Further information: Upon talking to Sealy I have been informed that this is not a pillow top but it has a “comfort layer” made of custom foam. It contains viscose foam, convoluted foam and hi performance convoluted foam. If it is lumpy it will be replaced, but the body impressions are not covered. Unfortunately the body impressions are what makes it lumpy! I was urged to spend the $90 to have it replaced if it is lumpy!
