I purchased a king size pillow top set for about $750 right before I married my wife. The salesperson at the store showed me how the mattress was designed and made a big deal about the consumer reports rating as compared to the “S” brands. Within a year there are deep body depressions on both sides of the mattress. We flipped and rotated the mattress just as the instructions stated, but this has no effect. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable. My wife complains that she must hold on to the side to keep from falling into the depression. I have to place about three pillows strategically around myself for extra support, otherwise I wake up and my back is like a question mark.
Did I mention that the sides of this mattress have absolutely no support? The sides on my bed are sagging and If I sit on the side of the bed I feel like I’m sinking.
I would NEVER buy an englander again! We are currenlty shopping for new mattress and will spend the extra money to go with a name brand. Probably one of the “S” brands. I think that the pillow top may have contributed to my problems. Next time I will stick with a standard “firm” or “plush” top. If I want a pillow top I will purchase a separate mattress pad. If it sags, I can get new one for $4o bucks instead of buying a whole new mattress like I am now.
