I purchased this bed at Target earlier this year (2003) and had to return it. I was disappointed because the lower section of this raised air bed consists of a border of about 1 foot wide all the way around the edges. There is no center portion to the lower section which leaves the entire center area of the top section unsupported. Consequently, it sags in the middle and is very uncomfortable. It’s like sleeping in a hammock. Two people sleeping in it both roll to the center.
I called the customer service number that came with the bed and found that on last year’s model of the Eddie Bauer Queen Raised Insta-Bed, the lower section covered the entire area of the bed. If you can get a hold of last year’s model it’s great! (you can recognize it by the side stabilizers) If not, don’t bother. I just can’t imagine why Eddie Bauer changed the design to something so uncomfortable.
