I was in a bit of a dilemma. I had just moved to a new house. Had no furniture for the guest bedroom and my mother announced she would be here to visit from England in two weeks.
I knew selecting and buying a new bed would be important. My mother is in her seventies and can feel every spring and bump in a mattress. I found it difficult shopping for a decent mattress. There are so many of them but good mattresses sure are expensive. After buying the bedroom suite, I barely had about $800 for the purchase of the mattress and box springs.
After shopping in a number of places, I found this mattress and box springs on sale for $850. A little over my budget but as I laid down on it and checked out the cushion, I knew I had found a good deal. The mattress hardly moved as I sunk into the luxurious top cushion. The coils are wrapped individually which made the firmness perfectly uniform throughout the surface.
I must admit that I bought this mattress in a hurry and knowing that you can’t really rate one until you have actually slept on it. However, that is really a chance you have to take so I did.
I was not disappointed. I slept very comfortably on it that night which is not an easy feat and was confident that my mother would be comfortable.
She slept very well during her visit and since then, I swapped my Serta with the King Koil. I found that I slept more comfortably on the King Koil which surprised me, I have been a faithful Serta user for years and did not expect such quality from King Koil.
You must turn the mattress every couple of months to prevent wear out especially if your sleeping partner is heavier as is my husband. It still is as firm today as when I bought it but has also kept the comfort texture well on the surface.
I am very pleased with my purchase and very surprised at the quality King Koil has developed. Bye bye Serta.
