Too much money for this terrible bed

We purchased the King Koil “Diva” mattress not even six months ago, and the bed is already shot. We purchased a King size, even though that should not matter, and we are suffering extreme back pain. I would stay away from this bed!!! Unless you are a child or under a hundred pounds we do not recommend this for anyone.

We purchased an ETOP Karisa Mattress manufactured by King Koil on Nov. 13, 2005. It is defective. We called King Koil and discovered that it would cost $50.00 to examine the mattress for the defects and $100 to have the mattress to be transported for replacement; that is for a mattress that was part of a set for $600, with, I suppose, the actual spring mattress worth about $300 new. It was quite a shock. Upon close reading of the small print and the attached asterisks we realized that you and the manufacturer were legally covered for all eventualities; although there was no mention of the $50 examination charge.

Two comments:

Why would we want to spend $150 to replace a $300 mattress that failed with less that a years actual use (we are snowbirds).

How could you sell such junk! We have been married for 54 years, have had several homes and lots of mattresses; this is a first for us. But, of course, we have never purchased a King Koil mattress before. We will do our best to ensure that others do not make the same mistake with either the mattress or the seller.
