In June of 2007 I contacted King Koil Mattress. My King Size bed has a 15 year non-prorated warranty. Purchased 11/5/1996 the store where I bought it is out of business. It is no longer supportive, has a ridge down the center, bows in on the sides and causes back pain. After numerous submissions and no response, I sent it to the Attorney General in Dec. 2007. In March of 2008 they sent a note to the Attorney General stating they would “fix” it if I pay to ship the set both ways. This seems like discrimination because if there was a dealer locally I would have some recourse. First, how would I get it to a shipper, second it would cost a rediculous amount of money to have an inferior product repaired and third, what would I sleep on? I would warn everyone, particularly after investigating, do not purchase a King Koil!!!! or Pebeco who actually made it. When I purchased this matress the saleperson touted the more expensive model because of the “excellent” warranty. I was never given anything with the fine print and have no idea when they developed a brochure with many disclaimers and lots of fine print. We complied with everything, including flipping and turning this monstrosity. I recommend mattresses you don’t have to turn.
