Keep Looking SAM Mattress
This mattress is not the answer to a good night’s sleep. We ordered a mattress about 2 years ago before reading all the negative comments on the web about Comfort Direct. Unfortunately we went ahead and accepted delivery.
I have suffered from low-back pain for several years and was assured by Kevin that this mattress would provide restful sleep. It wasn’t too bad at the start, but didn’t I still wasn’t getting a good rest as the end of the 120 night sleep warranty was ending. I called and spoke to Kevin and finally agreed to accept the quilted cover at no charge. After waiting for about 2 months, I called the customer service number and was told that the cover had just shipped after being out of stock. It arrived within a couple more weeks. Even though Kevin had told us there would be no charge, we noticed that he had run a charge through on our credit card. We were able to dispute that and get it taken off, but once again realized we had been lied to. By this time, it was too late to try and get Comfort Direct to accept the return of the mattress. We have tried all the different settings and anything we could think of to make the mattress more comfortable for a good night’s rest. Some things have worked for a little bit, but overall the mattress just keeps getting worse. At this point, the air cylinders don’t seem to be working properly. The company was e-mailed about 3 weeks ago to see what they would do under the warranty, but we have never received a response.
My opinion is that Comfort Direct has produced a cheap take-off of a product that has been used in hospitals and is probably good. If you’re looking to buy from Comfort Direct, my suggestion would be to look somewhere else.
