Different from my usual “Slumlord” subjects is this matter if importance. COMFORTABLE SLUMBER
After years of flipping and flopping the old mattress, it became evident that nothing would help any more. So Mrs. Schlamozel and me decided it was time to buy a new one. Much to our surprise we heard of some new fangled bedding that did away with the chore of turning. So (as in my last review of King Koil products) off we went to the Winchendon Furniture Company. Sure enough, King Koil had this big mattress and box spring set. King Koil Posture Bond Perfect Contour 5000 Mattress
Up on the show room display hopped “Mrs. Schlamozzel” and myself. Comfortable, firm and no “meeting in the middle” due to weak support. Then, something I thought would never happen in 10 lifetimes actually did. “Mrs. Schlamozzel” made the decision to buy within 5 minutes or less.
The Basics
This mattress has the following features:
Five zone spring configuration designed to comfort specific areas of the body
Heat tempered springs
Individually wrapped coils
Perimeter foam
What this means:
Heavier gage metal springs in the right areas serve to support more dense areas of the body in an even fashion. Therefore you don’t “sink in” in some areas, causing mis aligned vertibrae and discomfort. Also, the individual coils mean the whole thing isn’t wired together, so if I get up in the middle of the night, I most likely won’t awaken my “sleeping beauty” from movement of the mattress. Foam around the perimeter serves to more stability and refined comfort.
Sizes Available
This bedding set is available in (according to the store at the time of purchase) all common bedding sizes. The kicker is the thickness, which relates to height. “Mrs. Schlamozzel” and myself are both under 5′6″ tall. So I’ll admit getting in to bed is quite the experience. The mattress alone is about 18″ thick. This makes for quite a high jump at bed time.

Any queen or king size mattress and/or foundation that is used on a frame or bed rails without a center support rail.
To any damage to the outer fabric of the cover, including wear and tear.
If this product is used for commercial purposes.
If purchaser does not present proof of purchase.
Handles are not covered by this Limited Warranty and are intended only to position the mattress. Do not use handles when turning mattress.
If mattress is damaged due to an inappropriate foundation. This mattress is designed for full performance when used in conjunction with a matching foundation as part of a total sleep system.
This limited warranty is given by the above listed independent manufacturer producing King Koil products under license. King Koil Licensing, Inc., licensor of King Koil Sleep products, makes no warranty to the original Purchaser at retail and assumes no responsibility or liability under this Limited Warranty other than providing the information as stated above.
Over all, we have had nothing bad to report thus far. We certainly will update as time and our sleeping experience goes on.
