A few weeks ago we decided it was time for a new mattress. We went shopping around to Strawbridges, Macy’s, and finally Raymour and Flanigan. They just seemed to have a better selection, prices and customer service. We ended up selecting a Sealy Posturpedic Mattress set called the Fonda with a low profile box spring. If we would have ordered a high profile I probably would have needed a ladder to get in and out of bed…(I’m not kidding)…
The Fonda is a tan- brown, silky Pillow Top mattress with a vine like design around the pillow top. The handles are on the left and right sides of the mattress and are made of the same mattress material. The mattress measures 80″x60″x16″.

Our Experience: This is probably the worst mattress we’ve ever slept on. The mattress is very lumpy and firm. It was extremely difficult to turn over or to even get out of bed in the morning. I found myself being just as stiff, if not more so with this new mattress then our old one which was also a pillow top.
We went back to Raymour & Flanigan and thankfully we were able to do what they call a ‘Reselect’ and pick out a better mattress. We chose a Sterns & Foster. A little pricier but we think it’ll be worth it. It’s coming tomorrow so we’ll see.
