I suffer from severe arthritis in my hips and spine, and I am so grateful to have this mattress. With this mattress I am able to actually sleep through the night, without waking constantly in pain. I enjoy the fact that if I am having a night when I can’t fall asleep, I can adjust my mattress firmness, up or down, depending on what feels good at the time. The remote controls are easy to grab and use, even in the dark. Whenever I talk to someone else with severe arthritis, the first thing I do is recommend this mattress!

When I travel to visit family, or stay in a hotel, it becomes very clear just how important this mattress is to my health. Many nights I have found myself trying to sleep in a chair, because the mattress in my room is like sleeping on a bed of nails. I recently discovered that some hotels are using Sleep Number Mattresses, and I will now only be staying in those hotels. It’s that important to me.

I also am very pleased with the durability of this mattress. Unlike traditional mattresses, this mattress doesn’t break down and develop sway spots. I purchased my bed in 2000 and it is just as good today as the day that I purchased it. I have a cat and dogs who sleep on my bed, and I have absolutely no concern that they can damage it with their nails, as the air bladders are so well protected.

The Customer Service Department at Select Comfort is excellent! I had a problem with my air pump a couple of years after I purchased my bed. I found the Customer Service to be friendly and efficient - they sent me out a new pump the same day, paid for me to ship my old one back to them, and never charged me a penny. It doesn’t get any better than that!
