Since I have had major back problems all most all of my adult life, I need a good mattress. I have had two back surgeries in the past 3 years, and we purchased a Stearns and Foster mattress 2 years ago. While shopping, we also looked at and tried out, the Restonic, Simmons, and Sealy Posturepedic. My husband and I both think the Stearns and Foster is just great. I had heard of this brand before, but had never thought about it until we tried it and loved it. It is quite firm, and well made, and has the quilt top. The sides are quite well re-enforced so they do not tend to break down when sitting on the edge of the bed. It is a queen size mattress, and is quite heavy. But, the sheets do stay on very well, probably due to the weight of the mattress. It is also higher than our other mattresses have ever been. I think anyone who is shopping for a new mattress should consider a Stearns and Foster. I am not sure if it would suit everyone, but it is certainly worth looking at. It is only 2 years old, so am not quite sure how it will hold up over the years. My husband who is a little over 200 pounds also finds it very comfortable. I love it!
