Aerobeds are comfortable and futuristic. I use an Aerobed as my permanent bed because it”s better than a regular mattress and it”s not filled with billions of mattress mites!
Mattresses are heavy, cumbersome, filled with all kinds of junk, and you”re supposed to buy a "box spring" to go with it. Why? Also, I once saw an exposé about mattresses that are filled with all kinds of suspicious stuffings.
Aerobeds are much more ingenious. They”re made out of some kind of strong, lightweight, space-age polymer - you just press a button to inflate them and it”s really fun to lay on it while its inflating. Unless of course you”re too busy with your social life to try thatÂ… like me.
You can get an aerobed in twin, full, or queen size and they come with a light-blue fitted mattress pad that says "aero" all over it. It takes about a minute to inflate, just plug it in and go. Once its inflated you can adjust the firmness by touching a button that releases air slowly to your preference.
I sleep on an aerobed every night so I can easily recommend it for guests. They deflate easily, just open the release hatch, roll it up, and stuff it inside the duffel bag that comes with it. The bag has a shoulder strap on it so you can sling it over your shoulder for an overnight trip or just hang it up in the closet.
I guess the worst thing that could happen is you could pierce the aerobed somehow. They come with an emergency patch kit for if that happens but it hasn”t happened to me yet. Don”t worry about over-inflating the aerobed either, it has some kind of automatic regulatory system to prevents that from happening.
So, when Godzilla comes to Manhattan to fight the giant Mattress Mite and accidentally causes a giant tsunami to deluge New York City - I can float to safety on my futuristic aerobed!
