I have a lot of bedrooms to put mattresses on, and I really like to be able to accomodate our guests’ needs when they do visit. I have access to so many types of mattresses, since I sell them, that I decided to try out the Englander
Nature’s Finest on one of the guest room beds. I was, happily, very surprised!
The sound of ‘foam’ mattress, just didn’t seem right to me. I think of foam as a material that sags after just a little use, or under a lot of weight. (Some of our relatives fit in that last category!) But, I decided to give this mattress a try, when one relative, who just has so many allergies that are real, was coming to visit.
She loved this mattress, so I have to like it, as well! Normally, the materials used in a mattress, set off her allergies. The rubber, the foam, nothing in this mattress caused any allergic reactions. She was thrilled. The foam did NOT cave into her body size, as I had feared. What it DID do, was to follow her body spine to relax in a way that allowed her to sleep comfortably, without waking up to spinal pain of any kind. The foam mattress conformed entirely to her body’s frame. This is, also, unusual for her.
Instead of being too soft, as the word ‘foam’ conjures up in my mind, the mattress is quite, quite firm. In fact, firm and more firm is how the mattress is presented for sales. I had picked the softer of the firm, as I feared THAT would be a problem, as well. Some foam mattresses have different heights, inches, of foam in them. Pick the one with 6 inches of the foam, and you won’t go wrong.
With the 6 inches, rather than the 4 inches, of really sturdy foam, the mattress allows, invites, heavier bodies, allows for more comfort, is very comfortable. . .still firm, but, not stiff at all. I really never thought that I could please this relative, when it came to a mattress. I DID IT!
