I admit it, I’m fickle; I used to sleep around. I’d sleep in my kid’s bed, on the couches, and even in a chair. But, no more. We have the Select Comfort bed, and now I can change the firmness at the press of a button. If only it would stop my husband from snoring…
We put this bed together in under an hour, with no bloodshed. It would have cost $80 for the company to set it up, and almost 3 weeks to deliver. So, we skipped all that and it came within 10 days of ordering.
Yes, it was expensive, about $1500. But, sleep is priceless. We have never had it fail, it’s not noisy, and you can’t even see the foundation, which is really cheap looking, but it does the job, and who cares if it’s lovely if you don’t see it?
We did NOT order the extra $200 pillow top option. However, when it came, we wished we had. BUT, it turns out that all this really is is a separate foam pad that gets zipped on top of the air chamber. Heck, I had one of those from the last bed and it only cost me $60 (I bought a premium one, still cheaper than theirs!).
There are some rumors floating around about mold growing on the chambers, but I haven’t seen any. I’ll keep checking.
Another bonus is that it’s so light that changing the sheets is simple. Cool bed, and well worth the money.
