Please Note - Anyone who has had a KINGSDOWN for 2 years will most likely be honest and say they S-A-G. In Aug 2005 I bought a Kingsdown (Queen) mattress & boxspring, a Sleepy’s frame &, of course, the “super-special” mattresspad which, if I didn’t buy it, wouldn’t give me good warranty coverage. I thought I bought a top-of-the-line product but I was w-r-o-n-g. After a year it was significantly sagging. Sleepy’s sent in an “independent” company person to measure it and he stated even the box spring was sagging and I would get a letter from Sleepy’s in 2 weeks or less. Four weeks later I call them and it’s in the computer that yes the box spring could be replaced if I want because it does sag and it shouldn’t at all but the barely 2 year old mattress just doesn’t sag Enough — by a whole l/4 inch. Let’s face it - it’s going to keep sagging and it won’t be long til it sags another l/4″. I was told I could have them re measure in 60 days - more inconvenience and, judging by what others have said here, it may not mean an exchange, and even if they do exchange, I may end up with another sagging bed. I have had to go to a chiropractor for the lst time in my 50+years and while it does help, it’s not a permanent solution. As a single parent with not a large salary by anyone’s standards, I feel betrayed and overwhelmed.
