We purchased our Stearns and Foster Blackwell firm mattress
after having a problem with a new sealy mattress. We were told that the Stearns and Foster mattresses were among the best made. The mattress is made with some new materials.
DuraFiber- Super Pad

IntegraLok- Edge Support System

Resilium- Plus
A synthetic fiber similar to cotton in loft and softness, but more resilient, more consistent, and longer lasting.
The bed is about 12″ thick, so deep pocket sheets are needed, it also has two handles on each side of the mattress making turning and flipping of the mattress very easy. For a firm mattress, it has a very plush feel to it.
After using the mattress for 3 weeks it started getting some deep impressions. We called the retail outlet ( Mattress World) and were told that they would not help.
After another month went buy the mattress had 2 1/2″ impression, and the mattress had lost much of it’s support. So we called Mattress World again and were told they it was our problem and they were not going to help. We then called Stearns and Foster and they said we had to go through the retail company we purchased it through, so we called the Better Business Bureau. After 2 months of working with the BBB, Mattress World still refused to honer the warranty.
We called Stearns and Foster back and told them what we had been through, they finally started the warranty process. Two months later our replacement bed was ready. Stearns and Foster wanted to charge $125.00 to deliver the replacment mattress and $65.00 to haul the defective mattress away.
