We paid $1,619 for our king size Simmons Exceptionale Cotswold Pillowtop and after 6 months had permanently indented our sides, leaving a mountain in the middle. After a year I started seeing a chiropractor. I am 39 and wake up every day feeling like I’m 89. My husband feels the same way. I’ve (we’ve) been too busy building our family to research the warranty, find my receipt, etc., so yesterday I went to the same furniture store and ordered a $2,000 tempurpedic mattress- Today I’m having buyers remorse as I wait for delivery of our new bed. It dawned on me that 3 years ago when I bought this mattress the salesman, also the owner of the store, had said it would be the last mattress I’d ever own. That was the reason I was willing to spend $1,600 for it. I’ve just put a hold on the delivery and am looking into warranty coverage. My new salesman for the tempurpedic, when I mentioned the indentations and possible warranty coverage, was quick to say that this is normal wear and tear and probably won’t be covered by the warranty once they come out and measure the mattress and see that the mattress itself is fine. Also reading previous reviews makes me think that I’ll be buying a new tempurpedic anyway- I can’t stand this mattress one more night. I think it’s been building since my 5 year old is climbing into bed with us from nightmares and I’m the one trying to sleep/teeter-totter on top of the middle mountain. That plus the aches and pains that I wake with can’t possibly have to do with being 39!
