I ordered the mattress and then wanted to cancel the order. I tried to cancel from the website and the website was down. After reading the Epinions, I got very nervous and wanted to get out of the sale. I called AMEX to stop the transaction and when I found out that I couldn’t stop the transaction, I changed the card figuring that when they tried to send it they would realize that my card would not go, and call and I would tell them about the change of heart. To my great suprise, the bed showed up the other day and after calling and talking to various people, but managing to not have to talk to Kevin, I got an RA number, only after being put on hold and them figuring out they had an invalid card number.
Cut to today, just got off the phone after a insanely rude conversation with Kevin about return shipping costs. He told me that I was “going out of my way to take advantage of his company” by simply not wanting to pay return shipping cost on a bed that i didn’t want in the first place! I reminded him of the 100% satisfaction, 100% of the time, and that wasn’t he in a customer service business. I said that if he was willing to make this right that I would even order again, he said “he didn’t want people like me as a customer.”
After he said something about getting an attorney involved, I realized I was not dealing with a stable personality and am now willing to pay the return shipping just to be done with this bed and Kevin D, FOREVER!!!!
