A few yeas ago, and several months after my wife and I were T-Boned by a person who ran a red light, I started having neck and back problems. I just figured it was totally due to the accident and it was something I would have to live with, or cough up the cash to see the bone cracker on a weekly basis.

Well, our Simmons Back Care 2000 Plush mattress was just delivered this week, and after just the first night my neck, shoulder, and back pain was gone. I know its hard to believe, but its the honest truth.

I’m a light sleeper, so I also enjoy the fact that with this mattress, I no longer wake up every time my wife moves. This mattress is amazing when it comes to suppressing motion. With our old bed, if one of us jumped into bed, the other one would just about be flipped out. With this one, you can hardly notice when someone flops in or out.

I think my wife and I tried just about every type of name brand mattress out there (as well as ones I had never heard of), before we found this one. The place was just the last on our list, and just so happened to be the only store around here that carried the “Back Care” line.

We had almost settled on a Stearns and Foster pillow top (which are great mattresses by the way), and had even got a great deal with free sheets and pillows thrown in with the Stearns and Foster, but the Simmons was just the better mattress (better comfort, support, and motion/vibration suppression).

I think the 2000 in the name implies the average price of the model, because that is about what we paid. So far though, I think its worth every dollar paid (even without the free sheets and pillows).

If things change over the next few months I’ll write another review, otherwise you need to at least try out one of these mattresses before you make a decision on your next bed.
