While staying at my brother’s house trying to find a new job, we purchased a queen size Sofina Iso airbed with memory foam top. Slept on it for more than 2 years. We loved it. Best bed I had ever slept on. When we finally moved in to our own home, we put the Sofina in the guest bedroom on a platform. Wanting to find a king size airbed, we started looking for Sofina, but kept running into lost trails. We could never find them or anybody representing them. Finally, we purchased an Aerobed King on Amazon. During research of the king size I found that Aerobed had stopped making them. When I asked them why, they stated that there were some problems with the mattress. Sure enough, less than two months later we found that the mattress was growing. It expanded over the platform frame and grew to be too big for the sheets. Aerobed agreed to accept it back and issue a credit in the amount of the purchase price. I figured if they had a problem with the king size mattress, they certainly would not have a problem with the twin size. So many people have them. They are a little shorter than the king size, but we could live with that. So, we got 2 twins, a king memory foam topper and used a king mattress cover and sheets to hold it all together. Worked great for a while, but we had to keep adding air. Thought it might be a leak, but soon I could see that the mattress was growing, again. The sides were expanding over the platform bed sides. Soon the sheets will not fit. In summary, the Aerobed brand mattress just is not good for long term, continual usage as a primary sleep surface. I don’t know what they are doing wrong. Perhaps poor quality vinyl or bad internal weld points. But I am soon going to have to replace these mattresses. Why did the Sofina bed work so well for so long? And why can’t Aerobed do something about their beds? Maybe they really are only for camping and weekend visitors. Beware!
