I do not yet own one of these beds, but thought I’d give you a review of my initial reaction after having slept on one for a night.
A little about myself:
I’m a single Male, age 41. I’m just shy of 6 feet tall, and weigh close to 300 lbs. Some friends gave me their queen-sized Simmons Beauty Rest mattress set when they went to move out of town. I had thought this was going to be a very comfortable bed, as I’d heard a lot of things about the beauty rest system. More times than not, I’d wake up with a bad back-ache. (Why do they call those things “Beauty Rest” anyway? I for one don’t wake up after sleeping on that uncomfortable thing and go around singing “I feel pretty….”)

It finally happened. My beloved Isotonic Memory Foam Pillow Standard Size bit the dust. And it didn’t die in a natural way. I had brought it downstairs to use while I lied on the couch and inadvertently left it there. My little 12 pound Jack Russell Terrier decided it was his new bed and refused to get off of it even with the lure of a piece of steak. I’m a sucker for that little dog and he really loved that pillow. He was so comfortable that I gave up and gave him the gift of proper head alignment for his whole body.

Serta Perfect Sleeper? It is a well known brand name with a good reputation. When we saw Sam’s Club carried them at a great price ($425.00 for mattress and foundation) we bought a queen size for our adult daughter. Her report was fantastic. Pillow top with firm support gave her a very comfortable sleep.

I have had my Kingsdown Emerald Crown mattress for almost 6 years it still ’sleeps’ like new. A lot more than I can say about the lousy Sealy mattress I had before this which gave me such an awful back and cost almost as much! In fact I owe my good nights sleep to the Sleepy’s sales person who sold it to me!
I love this mattress so much that about a year ago I bought one for my daughter who we upgraded from a baby bed to a standard queen for her ‘princess’ room.
I am in the process of researching the next Kingsdown option in mattresses for my other kids since they no longer make this particular model.Price wise, it is really no more than the high end Sealy,Serta,Simmons mattresses, but for what you pay you are guaranteed exactly what you pay for…A
GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP. It really is a blessing with the way in which the coils are set up there truly is no roll when one partner needs to turn over in bed, and if you are a night owl and have a partner who prefers to retire early, you can get in bed without waking them up.The price shown is for one I bought my daughter a year ago.

I have been sleeping on my Bragada Crowne mattress for three weeks now, and while temperature-sensitive foam is not as miraculous as television advertising would have you believe, it is a very nice mattress. I find no difference between it and the nationally-advertised brand, which I will refer to as na-brand in this review. The Bragada Crowne model is equivalent to the Classic model from the na-brand.
Bragada, who sells only by 800- number or on the Internet, manufactures their line of temperature-sensitive memory foam mattresses using US-made materials, and offers a lifetime warrantee (see below for more on mattress warrantees). Their pricing is about 40% of the na-brand, and the product is equivalent in quality in my opinion.

My husband and I purchased the Englander natures finest latex mattress four years ago. We wanted a mattress that would last us for many years, and since I have problems with back pain we decided to get a higher-end model. We really liked the feel of the Englander in the store, and we were told by the salesman that it would last for up to 30 years. So, we made what was for us a very big investment and bought the Englander. What a huge mistake!

Sterns & Foster Bradford King
Positive The quality of the cloth material and the handles is very good.
Cons: Spring quality or method for holding uniform support is poor.
My wife and I purchased a S&F Bradford King Set in March of 2004 and we where happy with it for about 2 years and not since. We have followed rotation and flipping instructions but after rotation or flipping same discomfort and uneven surface returns almost immediatlly. Not the quality we paid for!

I’ve sold many , many adjustable foundation and I just recently found out that Select Comfort has nothing to do with the warranty of this product and there is NO RETURN POLICY or trial period!! I had to totally ignore my customers because once the purchased it there are on their on!!! I felt so bad that these customers who trusted me and my concern for them, were thrown to the wolves. Platt and Leggit handles the warranty for this product and let me tell you they don’t give a dam about the customer. They don’t know you and don’t want to. I can’t express how I feel about this. I also learned that the warranty is almost useless!!! You got to pay to keep this merchandise working properly. Do you really think that this product is going to last for 20 years without a problem ???? Be serious. There have been times when I sold the adjustable foundation and the motor went out in three weeks. I sold and adjustable foundation to Micheal Vick ( the quarterback of the Atlanta Falcon ) In three weeks we had to replace the motor on the foundation. How embarrassing. As a matter of fact when I went to his home, I found out that he doesn’t even sleep on the Sleep number bed he purchased but gave it away. So beware and have the salesperson explain the warranty to you in detail, before you part with your hard earned money.I also want to add that if you get a split king, know in advance that you will have two separate controllers and the bed does not move together unless you hold both controllers at the same time. The Foundation is a wallsaver so its designed to fit into most headboard and footboard beds. Overall the adjustable foundation is a good bet if your willing to make the sacrifice.

I have been sleeping on a Deluxe 10 inch Tempurpedic queen size mattress for the past 3 months.
I have been curious about this mattress for a long time now. I finally decided to give it a try. I figured, if I hated it, I could return it under Tempurpedic’s trial offer.
I have read the reviews here for quite some time, and, I guess you could say it’s about half and half. So, of course, the negative reviews took precedence in my mind and influenced me more than the positive ones. I guess that is just human nature.
But, something just kept nagging at me to try it anyway. So, as I said, I’ve had it for three months now.
I hated it for 3 weeks. I was convinced I was going to give it back. But a friend of mine who has one kept insisting to wait for a least a month. He said he and his wife had about a 3 week adjustment period too, and now they would not sleep on anything else.
I particularly had trouble finding the right pillow, because the mattress is so radically different. And requires some real adjustments.
I begrudgingly waited just in case it would get better, but I was convinced I was going to send it back.
Then, all of a sudden, about 3 weeks into my trial, it changed.
I could not believe it. And still can’t believe it. Because I have never had a mattress that has come close to this mattress. I cannot rave about it enough.
I LOVE IT.
Here are some things to think about when deciding on this mattress.

This mattress, though pricey unless purchased on sale, is more than worth the money. With the extra plush pillow top mattress one can feel as if in a cocoon all snuggled and safe.
I had the opportunity to try out this mattress while visiting family in Maine in February (bitter cold below zero weather) and this mattress was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of bed. The pillow top part of the mattress just envelopes a person completely.
The mattress is large, and deep. If you are going to purchase this mattress (which I highly recommend), make sure you have the sheets with the extra deep pockets that fit up to 18 or so inches. This mattress is HIGH.
You almost feel like having a little step stool beside the bed to help ease you into dreamland.
Do you enjoy reading? This is a great bed for that as well as other nocturnal activities.
If you have back pains and think that a pillow top mattress is not quite what you are looking for, I assure you that back pains ease up almost completely with this mattress. It may not be a sleep number bed (but hey, that is just an air mattress) or a temper pedic bed, but for value and comfort this mattress is tops in my book.
Every member in my family now has one. Try it out, you wont be disappointed.
